What is large format digital printing?
Large format digital printing uses industrial wide-format inkjet presses to print oversized graphics onto continuous rolls or rigid substrates that exceed standard commercial paper sizes.
What types of products are created with large format printing?
Common products include PVC banners, pull-up banners, wallpapers, posters, vehicle graphics, window decals, exhibition displays, and rigid signage boards.
What is the difference between roll-to-roll and flatbed printing?
Roll-to-roll printers feed flexible substrates like vinyl, paper, or canvas through rollers. Flatbed printers feature a stationary vacuum table that holds rigid materials like acrylic, ACM, or PVC boards flat while printing directly onto the surface.

What materials can you print on?
We print on self-adhesive vinyl, PVC banner media, polyester fabrics, canvas, poster paper, Correx, foam board, ACM (Dibond), acrylic, and wood.
Are large format prints suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, our outdoor prints utilize UV-cured or solvent inks that resist moisture, rain, and solar fading. Adding clear protective lamination further extends outdoor lifespan.
How durable are the prints and will they fade over time?
Unlaminated outdoor prints typically last 2 to 3 years, while laminated outdoor graphics or indoor installations last 5+ years without noticeable fading.
Design & File Preparation
What resolution is required for large format files?
We recommend setting resolution between 150 to 300 DPI at 100% final output scale. For extremely large billboards, 72 to 100 DPI at full size is sufficient.
What color mode should I set in my design file?
Files should be supplied in CMYK color mode. Vector elements should have all fonts converted to curves or embedded.
What is the maximum seamless printing width?
We can print up to 2.2 meters wide in a single continuous piece. Larger installations (such as building wraps) are panelled and welded or overlapped seamlessly during installation.
Production & Installation
What is the standard production turnaround time?
Standard production time is 3 to 5 business days from final artwork approval. Express or rush services are available for urgent event deadlines.
Do you offer professional installation services?
Yes, our certified installation teams handle site surveys, surface preparation, wall graphic applications, vehicle wrapping, and outdoor signage mounting throughout the Western Cape.
